I have always been told that the size of an OGG. file is much more smaller that the size of a MP3 file.

Well... I'm using the "dBpowerAMP Music Converter", and when I convert MP3 files to OGG., the new OGG file size is bigger that the original MP3 file (Depending on the quality...).

I found out, that the only way to get a "really" small file's size, is to convert the MP3 file to a very low quality (convert to OGG, of course...).

So what are you talking about smaller files' size? are you all lowerring the quality?
Can someone explain me how to do this thing right (including the quality...).

Thanx!
Ido.

Lots of threads on this so do a search mate.

I convert my Mp3s into 64kps Ogg files, retains 90 percent of the quality whilst still being about half the size.

Putting the .ogg file to 64KBPS should give you quality as good as (if not better) than a 128KBPS .mp3 file.

If you convert your .ogg to 64KBPS they should be half the size of the same .mp3 without much different in quality if coming straight from the .wav

Problems start whenver you recompress the .mp3 file as it has already been compressed so you have lost quality.

you should convert oggs from an audio cd or wav.....
if you convert it from mp3 it will sound like crap, i think that you shouldn't convert the mp3 that you already have.....
