hi to all at esato. i was actually thinking of how the t610 would be if it could store files of any type, let it be .mp3,.wav,.doc,.pdf etc. and i tought and thought and thought and finally discovered it. all u have to do is to change the filename to either .mid, or .thm or jar, or .mpn. it can actually stores any files if it recognizes the file extension names. but unfortunately cant play or open it. in dubai mms is free for the past 6-7 months. so i tried sending word docs to e-mails and all i ave to do is to change te file extension to .doc(if it is originally a microsoft word document file) to actually view it. i dont know whether i am the first to discover it, but anyways its a wonderful way to transfer files other than mid or thm......

I am sure it is. However, I myself find it a bit cumbersome to use my 2 mb memory for file transfers tbh.

So I myself can't be bothered to do it via this phone.

I recall someone commenting on this last year but so far I have not been able to find the thread.

Its a good idea and certainly worth reminding people of anyway, though the limited memory does reduce the possibilities of course

especially when you can get 128mb and 256mb USB memory dongles quite cheaply these days, and they dont require any drivers if used on NT and XP

Trick is not new. But it is the first time i read it here.
Last month i zipped 20 of my favorite midi's with winzip. Renamed 2 midis.mid and beamed 2 my T310.
File was about 80Kb.
