Hi ,
I had a post a couple of days ago under the subject " Ashamed by my P900 " , in which i stated a common problem with many early P900 which is the line that appears in the camera screen ( now it is two by the way ) . Briefly , i purchased my P900 from the duty free zone in the UAE few weeks ago and i noticed this problem . Since i am a resident of Lebanon i went to the local dealer to check it out after some one told me that it is a firmware bug , after the upgrade they notified me that the problem persists and they have to change the cam and after i accpeted to pay for the change i picked up the phone later that day to discover that the line remained but it switched position . I contacted the online support and they asked me so many questions , then they told me to send them my purchase proof and the dealer's stamp , since i bought it from Dubai Duty Free zone , it is a well known fact that the dealer doesn't stamp the warranty card there , i gave them full details and after the local dealer here in Beirut clearly stated that he can't fix it , the regional management refused to do anything to the phone and told me to accept this fact that i have a defective unrepairable phone !!!
Our regional management is located in the UAE , and apparently they don't care about SE repuatation , so could anyone help me by sending this message to higher post at SE because on the online support site everytime i try to post i am diverted automatically to the UAE site .
I will appreciate your support.
By the way 2 years ago i had a similar problem with a NOKIA 9210 that i bought from Dubai too (bad luck ) and it had a design defect and the same non stamped warranty , when i took it to the local dealer they replaced it immediately with no questions asked , plus they appologized to me and gave me a the new one without even asking me to supply them with my phone's accessories or even the memmory card so i had 2 !!!
So please tell me what to do
Thank You

you live in a muslim country its full of uncivilised people with uncivilised practises you have no proper consumer protection. my advice is move to a non muslim country. Or just give up and stick with faulty cam. i am not being racist or mean just realistic.

you obviously know nothing about anything. i've lived in saudi arabia for 15 years and it is as civilised as many parts of the western world. anyway im not going to get into this, this is no place for this type of discussion. you are obviously a racist biggot with ignorant views whom i have a deep sympathy for because you're never going to be respected by anybody.

moderator - please ban this person.

i must say i agree with britishman.
I dont consider that a racist comment.

There are,and always have been, a lot of fcuked up things goin' down in most muslim countries.

I dont want to start a flame war with this comment,I just think that you should see the realities that happen in other countries, and i am not just talking about dodgy mobile phone warranties.
