Hi all,

I have a P900 with R1C01 firmware, on Orange.

I am having a constant problem where when I try to install SIS files from my PC, whilst docked with PC Suite, the phone will reboot. It will copy the file ok, then when I choose where to install it (always memory stick), it will get to between 20 and 40% of the install, and then reboot. When the phone comes back it usually says it 'restarted to improve performance'.

This often also happens when trying to uninstall apps.

I have a 128mb duo with 35mb free, and there's about 7mb from on the internal memory.

Anyone experiencing this? Any known solutions? I guess I could reformat but that seems like such a pain. And I don't know what's causing this, so it could easily reoccur I would assume..

Any help much appreciated!

Tom

Hi Tom,
See my comments in the thread:

p900 seems to be out of stock everywhere?!

I also experienced this. SE told me it was a PC Suite conflict, however Grex said it was a known firmware fault.

Do a search in my-symbian forums (www.my-symbian) and you see a few other variations??? I went to my orange shop today and asked if there was a known firmware issue. Alas no, but told me to contact orange 156??? At the mo, phone seems ok and stable. Let me know if u hear anything?
