My battery has died today! It wont charge up anymore
I don't think it is my charger, so it looks the battery is done.
Has anyone else had these problems? I've had the phone for about a year now, so is this normal? Can anyone point me in the direction of a new battery? I've looked on the SE site but couldn't find where to actually buy one, and I looked on expansys but couldn't find one there.
I've only got a month to go before my upgrade, but I guess it would be sensible to replace the battery if I want to sell the p800.
Please help.

I would say that it is the charging circuits in the phone that has died or the charger itself. Try with another charger first, and then try the battery in another phone if possible.
If the battery is _really_ drained, the charger may need to be connected for several minutes before the charging shows on the phone.
One year seems to be way too short lifetime for a battery in my opinion.

Just dont bet on this. This is why they have just a year of warranty. Plus u've seen broken batteries b4 right? I think that the battery might b ok..it has to charge but it wont hold the charge if it's depleted. Might b the charger

Flipside,
Can you tell us more about the symptoms? Is the phone completely dead, or does it work for only a short time after charging?

My phone has done the same thing this weekend. Basically, I have found the following:
I let the battery run down and when i tried to recharge it, it appeared not to recharge - the red led indicator didn't come on.
I left the charger in all night and when i switched the phone on at lunchtime the next day, it was fully charged!
The battery went down to almost zero with normal usage within 8 hours.
Tried master resets several times but this didn't cure the problem. The red LED doesn't come on, and the phone doesn't acknowledge the charger when it is switched on either, but it does appear to charge.

I had the same problem. I left my phone on one night, and afterwards, it would not turn on. Left it on the charger, it would come on , show a full charge, but would not turn on again if shut off. My phone works perfectly again after charging the battery with my r/c lithium battery charger. I guess the battery was too dead for the phone to charge, but the more sophisticated charger brought the battery back to life.
You CANNOT charge a lithium battery with any old charger. You must use a specific charger, or you risk an explosion or fire!
A year is not too long for this battery to die. Lithium batteries have a life of 200-300 charges, and if you need to charge everyday.....
Hope this helps.
