hi i was wonderin if anyone knew how i could set up my pc to surf the net over o2 paygs free gprs? help mucho appreciated! i use mac os x and an old windows 98 pc i guess it would b easier to set up on the pc?

Mac OS8.6 is what I'm on-

Set your modem to he ericsson infra red one.

User=payandgo
pass=password
dial up=*99***1#
disable tcp compression in the remote access control panel options>protocol

Now in your browsers preferences put 193.113.200.195 in all the proxy boxes and 80 in the ports next to them.

I wanted to know if you had found out a way of using your gprs o2 phone to connect to the internet...
I have a serial cable and xp detects a gprs connection but i still have to find out how to get on the internet (if it's possible with that free 02 login and password)

As far as I'm aware the WAP APN allows traffic over port 80, so no POP3 or anything. Also be aware that there is a fair-use policy of 5mb/month. I have no idea if they enforce it or not, but just be aware of it.

there ur wrong... my gprs log for the last month is 0.1gb received and 20.5mb sent. this DID allow pop3 and MMS. i dont seem to b able to set up apps like moreapps to access the net. any one with a clue as to how 2 do this... tell me! i just get "cant access network" error! pls help
