> Sync P900 with Outlook
Bookmark topic
When trying to sync my P900 against Outlook I get the message "out of memory" 7 out of 10 times on my PC. This seems to occur only when I'm running outlook in the off-line mode (i.e. not connected to an outlook server). When on line it seems to work. I'm running Outlook 2000 SR1. I have reinstalled all of the programs (both MS and SE). I have also recreated the outlook.ost file. I am not syncing my e-mail. Problem seems mostly related to calender events.

hmm....almost sounds like the P900 is trying to sync your offline .pst file, which is probably huge. have you checked the sync settings for PC Suite? make sure it only syncs the most recent emails (or best try not syncing emails and see what happens). Same for calendar, make sure it doesn't sync your 1999 appointments etc.

It definitly is trying to sync my .ost file. I am not syncing my e-mail. I have also restricted my calender to the last year. The problem still persists. (I even tried upgrading the device ... no help there).

Any resolution here? I have the same problem. Have to restart XP to get around it.

The work around (for me) to this problem was:
1) disable Norton (the guy from SE suggested to disable both antivirus and firewall software). I did not notice any difference with my firewall (Blackice) but Norton seemed to make it work slower.
2) Limit the number of dates (I am running +- 400 days). My Outlook calender has dates going back to mid 1999.
Some things that did not help:
Update Outlook, Update Windows ...
Good luck
