Does anyone find that the memory allocated to contacts in SE T610 is too little ? only 510 phone numbers.

Actually i thought that meant number of names as in 1 name can have a few numbers still counted as i entry. But just found out that i space is taken up by each number. This will be a hinderance when i sync with my outlook cos my contacts in Outlook all have multiple numbers for each person.

The problem is exacerbated by the fact that the phone cant used the SIM memory as storage.

Anyone has any solutions ?

510 is actually high-end for cellphones. Comparable Nokias only store about 250, for example.

If you think it's too little, get a Symbian OS phone, or go e-mail the SE Support people and try to request it as an enhancement for future phones.

But it's not going to change on your T610.

What do you madn when you say that the sim can't be used as storage? You can't see them both at the same time,yes,but you can store an extra 200 numbers in it. More than enough! This message was posted from a T610

What i mean is when you wanna add a new contact to the phone, the new contacts are automatically stored in the phone memory.

The SIM memory also has to be accessed seperately from the contacts section which isnt very convenient

I've not tried to save it on the SIM yet, but there must be a way...

But the thing I wanted said is I think 510 is more than enough for me (yet, I've only had it for 2 months), all the numbers I don't use so often is saved on the SIM which can handle about 200 numbers...

@kerplunk230481

What phone were you using before you had the T610?

Why would anybody save contacts on the SIM that are not on the phone or vice versa?

Why not store the entire phonebook also on the SIM (as back up if you will)

I have to say I think 500 odd is very generous by any phones standard but if you have say a 100 or so numbers you hardly ever use why not back them up on your pc and then dial them via bluetooth, infa or cable from fma when you need to call these numbers, thus then increasing the phonebook to a unlimited number.
