well it's the subject here. and who said that p900 had no profile???
isn't that the profile were talking about is the silent, outdoor, etc etc on the noklia???????????
the p900 do have a profile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u can use the THEME as profile. select a different theme for a different setting on the tones, sms, emails, etcetc.
ANYBODY AGREE?????

Switching themes is not really an ideal way of switching profiles, it's generally slow for the P900 to actually change theme, and themes is buried in the control panel in PDA mode. A proper profiles system should be available in PDA and phone mode, and have quick access to it, so you can easily switch profiles.

It won't be troublesome if you just open the flip and click on the control panel and themes then select. It's just like nokia you look for the profiles, scroll down scroll up!!! then select the profile to use. still the same as the p900!!! and maybe the p900 themes is not buried in the control panel step 1 click on control panel step 2 click on themes step 3 WAHHHHLAHHH!!!!!! your new profile.
YOU CHANGE YOUR SHORTCUTS right beside APPLICATIONS for the easy access of the control panel!!!!!! :0

Why do you think SE came up with Quickshare?
Cuz only one push of a button is quick, and consumers appreciate that.
As i would appreciate a smartphone to have profiles... decent quick profiles.

If someone can explain me how to select a CAR profile I'd be happy to try out, IMO it will only automatically be selected if the aerial connector detects an external antenna.
Explain why a P900/P800 doesn't work with any bluetooth car.
BMW even has an official note on the P800/P900 stating these phones do not work in ANY BT-equipped car!

When i had my T86i i used profiles for only SMS, were simple and fast.. now i have to switch between melody and silent mode (only in sms) and is not so fast.
And i rembember when with handsfree the phone switched profiles by itself...
