I have used the default windows XP wireless link file transfer dialog via Mobile Phone Monitor to send files via IRDA, it works okay as long as you keep the speed down to 9600. I have not tried send file.

I've sent files using XP and Bluetooth. I've been unable to syncronize the phone with outlook and XP using Bluetooth. For some reason the Xtend Connect PC for ericsson software can't find my phone!.

I am currently using windows xp and the IR link works perfect with my T68. I can sent both images (less than 3 kb per image-for larger pics I have to use mypictures R2E)and ring tones (emy format) to my phone using the send command. In addition the syncronization works fine with package 1 for ericson PFW R2A04. No need to decrease the speed of infrared communication!

Well, You can transfer pictures up to 8 or even 10 kb.
Then you are advised to set the IR-speed to 9600 kbps. Just in case,..the phone might actually freeze if you dont lower the speed.

You dont actually need MyPictures for sending pictures to the phone by IR.
Once you connect the phone,..an IR-monitor and screen will appear. From this you can send pictures or melodies from any location in windows.
And you dont need a program for sending melodies either.
