After all the positive comments I've seen with Oggplayer I decided to give it a go, I have a 3 and a half hour car journey tomorrow and thought the higher compression of oggs would be good for more entertainment.

After an evening of trying to get Oggplayer working, I'm sick to the back teeth of it, I've been searching though topics here and the FAQ on the site, but I can't find an answer to my problem. I'm stuck running v1.0 as with v1.1 I just get the 'folder not found' bug, the oggs are in audio/unfiled, I have installed v1.0 and then v1.1 and I get the same every time, the MS duo has the standard folder format. Anyway, with v1.0 I can see all the oggs ok (it looks great) but unfortunately I can't actually play them, if I go to any of the ogg files, I just get a 'cannot open this file' error message. I ripped the oggs straight from cd, at 64k and they work fine on the PC. I used Freerip2 to make the oggs. I would really appreciate someone's help here as I'm stuck otherwise, I've tried reinstalled Oggplay (many times) and even re-downloading it, plus I've tried re-ripping, I can't think of anything else to try.

Thanks very much,
John

I got mine in document\unfiled and it works great there. As long as it works, I wont even consider using audio\unfiled.

I've had no problems with any of the versions i've used.

Have you tried going into the OggPlay! menu, then choosing Find new files.
I've found that when you replace the files you need to run this refresh to update the list.

You need to install the first version and the RUN it so it creates the right folders. Then you install the second version over it and it will work! Been there and got the t-shirt

Try converting to ogg with another program. I use QCD player and it works just fine. dbpoweramp also works.
