Class 0 SMS is commonly referred to as a 'flash message' - one that pops up immediately on the receivers screen.
Not sure if there's a way to send them on the Px00 though - perhaps a 3rd party app can do it - try searching handango.com

I could be remembering wrong, but flash sms was just a bug that nokia never fixed because kids liked it. So this is just a Nokia SMS bug.
But as I said, I could be remembering wrong. And someone can probably make a third party app to make this work. Though it wont work in any phone except Nokia (that I know of) so far.

Flash messages worked fine when received with my old Sony mobile so I don't think they are just for Nokia devices !

I was wrong then, this was something I read or heard somewhere like 3 years ago or more. I hope anyone knows about this one.

There is definetly a programme for this on my-symbian. Called iSMS, you get 10 messages included and have to pay for more but you can send anonymous messages, class 0 etc....

there is a differerence bettween flash SMS and flashing SMS
on my J5 you can chose to send the message 3 ways
to SIM = normal
to Phone = will save on phone mem if available
to screen = this is the so-called flash SMS and is displayed on the screen dirrectly
the J series of phones is the only phone i know of that has these options - i miss it in a way!
@StarKnight: what sony phone did you used to own?

I think read somewhere that in T-Mobile in some countries if you put an exclamation mark as the first character of the SMS it goes as a flash SMS... Might not be right but give it a try...
