Has anyone seen the callshield thing in new argos page 1113? It says it can display phone #s even if they have been withheld etc anyone got any info on them and he this is true? Thanks from mark

I dont know if it is would be funny though to catch people who crank call you etc i thought it seemed to good to be true but it does state in the information that it does show the numbers etc

Link to your mobile, home or business telephone anywhere in the UK.
Keep your private numbers private.
Identify 'withheld' callers before you accept the call.
Listen to messages being left & interrupt to talk to the caller if you want to.
Record any conversation in full at any time during a call.
Some of it seem alright but I rekon they are in a grey area with some of it as well esp the identify withheld numbers - my last phone number was put on the 'orange directory' and i answered the phone to a recorded message saying 'call this number and claim your new free phone'
All spammers must die (with the exception to the innovation magasine type mail - handy for reading on the loo)

Has anyone on here got one of these yet? Want to know if it does as stated show the phone number of everybody calling you even when they try and withhold their number? Keep getting crank calls got an idea who it is so this may help me prove it! ;-) just tell them i have changed my number and see what happens :-D

I use it and it realy is good you get a second number, that you give to people that you dont trust or just give it out to anyone. it let you know who is calling, even if the withold there number.
And you can divert your calls to your mobile if you are out, and that is free. and if you get a caller that is being nasty all you have to do is press star at anytime and the whole call is recorded from the begining
and the caller dose not know he or she is being recorded.
It is quite good the number is yours for life and if you change your main number you just let callshield know and they sort things out for you. so you get two numbers but only pay for your main number. all you pay for callshield is £19.99 from Argos, no bills or contracts thats it.
