> Handy day 2004 drains battery heavily!!!
Bookmark topic
Hi there,
Normally the P900 battery last for more than 2 days with normal usage, but after I installed Handy Day 2004 the battery only last for 1 day. I tested it twice by not using any 3rd party applications, the battery last for 2 or more days with normal usage, but when I fully charged the battery & start using Handy Day 2004, the battery meter decrease noticeably & gone in 1 day. Anyone interested to confirm this?
Keith

No... i wouldent confirm that!
It drains the battery a little but itīs not much compared with if you would have to click around to get the same information without handyday.
Itīs the best prog ive ever bought for my p900.
Hrm... atleast thats what i think =)

You could try to install it on another memory in your phone. What I mean is, if you have installed on your phone memory, try install it on the memory card and vice verca.
If this does not work, try updateing your phone. If you have the latest fw (R3A06) I would suggest you either contact Epocware on their web-site or go to my-symbian forum and post your issue on the Handy Day 2004 thread.
Just in case, check so your bluetooth and IR is not on, flush your open activities and see to it that no light is constantly on your phone.
Good Luck
Luc

Make sure you disable the "Pop up after timeout" preference - I think this option is buggy, I had the same problem and after switching this off it was fine again.

Doesn't seem to drain the battery - $15 well-spent - why didn't this come with the P900 again?
How do I find out on which media did I install Handy Day 2004? I just wondered if I have installed to duo pro then maybe it's not launching as fast as it might if installed to RAM?

Best if you close it after use; add it to the top shortcuts open to view add etc. then close after use - gives norm battery usage but easy calendar use

I use the same work around as Corny, it works well, alarms still go off and battery usage is normal.
Otherwise my battery is drained also in one day but with this "trick"it is back to normal !!!!!!

I've got the "Pop up after timeout" turned off as well and battery life seems to be fine. Search on the forums on how to maximise your battery as well.
Turning off GPRS and going to flight mode when not essential (night time ?) also helps converse battery.
