Hi guys

When i try and move video files to my scandisk 128mb duo i get the following error message.

"Cannot copy file: Data Error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)"!!!!!!

Any ideas? Its only started happening since i started using a new 128mb scandisk duo.

It means that the P900 cannot understand the file system of the sandisk.
This will probably mean that the disk cannot be used with the P9 and P8

Seems strange doesnt it that so many people are using the scandisk without problem???

SOme files seem to copy but others dont.

EDIT: Im sure i just saw Masseur saying that the card may be faulty cos it cant read or write ocrrectly. Someone else had a faulty card from the same seller - Blueproton from Ebay..maybe i should return it?

sorry JiggyJaggy, I posted something and then decided to get more reference so I removed my post but then got sidetracked!

CRC is an industry standard check (much better and more complex than a standard checksum) for ensuring data is transferred correctly so it does sound like you have a bad duo there if the data cannot be written correctly.

I have a couple of sandisk duos which work perfectly fine (so far)

JiggyJaggy,
I bought the same Sandisk as you did, and even from the same seller ($35). I have no problems whatsoever with mine, so if the problems continue after a format of the Duo and a firmware flash, you may have a faulty Memory Stick...

Ok guys sounds like formatting the scandisk is the right thing to do as this is also what the seller recommended before sending the item back. will give it a try and let u know what happens.
