That's too bad, but hey...

First thing's first:
Never believe Orange salespeople. They'll tell you just about anything cuz they think you're some thick airhead that's way to gullable.

Now that that's out of the way:
You can always buy a P900, or roam a few phoneshops if the have a P8 lying around somewhere

And then there is always esato, where you can get great tips about where to buy secondhand brand new P800's.
Not from me though cuz i have no idea and don't know which country you're from.

Anyway, it's pretty likely SE discontinued P800, as they are heavily endorsing the P9 (duh!?). Continuing the P8 would simply be a drag.

well about the orange people, i actually thought the ones where i live were very helpful, but, i have to say i did try the SPV E200 and was very very pleased with it. new to me was that it had video+sound recording so i was well chuffed but i do hope i get to try a p800, sounds excellent from what i've read on this forum

the average lifespan of a particular model of phone is said to only be 6 months these days so i wouldnt be surprised if production was stopped.

This is a very trusted inside information from SE Greece.

The production line is still active and no modification has been made.
