SE going to be the BEST in 2004
I saw in Cnet Asia poll online in which they asked:-

"Nevermind numero uno. Which phone maker will be the second largest in the world by the end of 2004?

And the answers are as follows:-

LG
5.8%
Motorola
8.5%
Nokia
9%
Samsung
31.4%
Siemens
2.5%
Sony Ericsson
40.8%
Others
1.9%

Looking at the runaway success of the T610, Z600 & P900, confidence and demand for SE phones can only go upwards.

As long as SE can continue to dish out winners like T610 every quarter for 2004, 4th or 3rd position is possible. 2nd is too much to expect of them... to achieve 2nd spot too soon will lead to meltdown in demand and perhaps popularity.

Samsung took 3 years before they achieved 3rd position worldwide and they had really good products thrown out then.

I'll be happy as long as SE can get back into the top 4 position this year.

those polls don't mean anything. polls have already show that SE are the best. but there not one top, they also said they don't want to be on top. they want to have enough profit and make the best phones.
and Se hasn't got alot of phones ready for lauch this year. all other brands are lanching phones massively. there will be a great overstock at the end of this year i can assure you that.
nokia is lauching 44 phones this year, siemens abit less, moto also, samsung even more, and small brands like nec, phillips and sagem are also lauching phone after phone. i think there could be a deja vue of the year 2000-2001 when the phone market was bad. so i think SE is going a great job, although they could make abit more phones that are high demanded like P900 and Z1010
