This might be old news for some users here...

But nevertheless I still wonder why we are struggling on t610 and t630, some of us waiting anxiously for the z1010...

Take a look at what Sonyericsson is releasing NOW in other countries.
Sonyericcson so505i.

I really wish I had one of those. Great screen, MS Duo, 1 Megapixel camera...

Why is Japan always so much ahead?
Well, I thought my t610 was good, but now I am not that sure anymore.

I even found a site with the TV ad for the phone take a look.
I didn't believe in what I saw but that is reality...
And now I am quite sad.

Maybe in 10 years a phone like that will come out here...

I searched the forum but didn't find a topic about this phone. Maybe I should have gone way back in time (looking to older posts). But nevertheless you have to admit it is quite frustrating to get to know such things happen.

Sometimes I wonder how much market share SE would gain by releasing a phone like that in Europe. I-mode is available in some countries now...

I really don't know (unfortunately I cannot read Japanese). But what I would like to know if such phones (I mean Japanese I-mode phones) could work in Europe too (of course on I-mode enabled networks).

Here are pictures of some other SE models out in JP. Personally I like the design of most of them. Pictures

No, those phones would not work in Europe as our networks are not compatibel to their standards.

@Vlam

Thanx, I just wondered if the I-mode was the same here and in Jp. This would have allowed one to use the phones from back there over here.

I have been looking around the site and, although I still haven't learned japanese in the meantime, I was amazed at how many things you can do with it. Control TV, Sync with cradle to computer, well, event have pictures taken from Aibo (remember sony's little dog) and sent to you.
Some of these features are indeed really useless, but it shows the integration which might be possible in electronics and, to a certain extent, also makes UMTS less of an urge...

Anyway, I'll stop posting for a while and see what others have to say about the issue....

Ciao ciao
