Hey everyone,
I have a problem with my P900. One time it got stuck while it was on. I turned it off then. When i turned it on, the screen didn't turn on, but i could hear the sound of the phone turn on. I could take pictures and hear the sound of everything, but still couldn't see the screen. When I turned it off, I saw the light of the screen turn on and off, so i took out the battery. Then i turned on the phone and off again and the same thing kept happening. I turned it on once and opened V rally (trial) until it exited. Then it turned it on and off and it worked. This happened a couple of other times, and each time i keep trying to turn it on and off and it doesn't work, but as soon as i open V rally and then turn it off and on, it works fine and the screen turns on. Did anyone else have a similar problem or know why this is happening? What do you guys think I should do?
Thanks...

how can you open vrally when you don't see anything?
or does "screen off" mean something else ? (backlight?)

@ mores
Maybe V-Rally is the last app in the list, it is in mine due to alphabetical listing. You could then easily find it 'blind'

@ AsAd
Try uninstalling V-Rally for a while to see if the problem still occurs.
Is V-Rally the only app that will make the screen come back on?

@ mores.....MikLSP was right.
@ MikLSP....I keep trying different applications, but until now, V rally is the only app which has caused my phone to work. Sometimes i have to restart my phone and try V Rally again for it to work. I tried opening different applications and the same thing happend. Also, after the first time it happend, I thought it was fixed, but it happend again in a couple of weeks and then the next day, and now it happens almost every few hours. And what should I do if uninstalling V Rally doesn't make a difference.

I wouldn't go mad trying to sort it yourself. It is obviously still under warranty so head back to the shop for repairs or replacement.
If the phone is less than 1month old the shop is obliged to replace it. If older it'll be sent away for repair.

Hope u get it sorted,
Mik.

Thanks for all of your help, I really appreciate it. But, there is one problem. At the time when I got my phone, it wasn't available in my country, so I bought it from another conuntry while I was there. I guess I just have to wait until someone I know is going there, or if I might be going there soon. I just posted this incase there was a way that I could fix the problem myself.

If you dont have any other solution for this problem then my advice is to format the phone. I hope you have already sychronized your phone though.

Even though you cannot see the display you can access "in blind" the service menu.

Once the phone is turned on roll up once your jog dial, then * then jog dial down twice, then * then jog dial down and then * again.

Press on the keypad 3 then 2 and then 1. Then press you phone lock code to accept the format.

Like I said all action will be made in blind.

I hope I helped you a little. Keep us posted if you find any other solution to your problem.
