I am travelling to Belfast next month and would like to be able to use my Sony E T68i. The phone is unlocked but I am not sure what I need to do in order for it to work in Belfast. I think I only need to buy a prepaid SIM card. Where would I buy that and do I need to change or create any new settings. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dom

Rite your in my neck of the woods - I cant remember if there is a phone shop in the airport or not tho.
Your phone will work over this side of the pond all you gotta do is go into a phone shop and pick up a networks sim card and get the sales assistant to register a swipe card to it
You have a choice of 4 networks
O2 - good if you send alot of texts (pay over a tenner a month on top ups and you get so many text msgs free)
Vodaphone - I have never used them
Orange - Used it for a year on PAYG its ok
T-mobile - Only used them on contract (damn good at the mo)
aside from this small amount of information look at the UK based websites for the networks - choose the one you want get it registered and in less than day you are up and running and bobs yer aunties live in lover

Thanks a million. I am only going for two weeks and I will be using it primarily for sending and receiving SMS messages and a bit of web browsing. Will I have a temporary phone number? Do I need to change or create any settings or just pop the card in. Will any sim card work?

you have unlocked your phone - so any sim card will work - all you gotta do is buy the sim card - usually the sales assistant will register it for you if you ask - and pop it in
You will have a new phone number and you dont need to change any settings on your phone - just make sure that all your numbers are in international format so you can get hold of the folks back home.
keep hold of the simcard when you go back home - you may be able to use it when you come back(I'm not sure how long a PAYG sim card will remain registered on a network if it is not in use)
