Hi all,

Thanks a lot!

In d older /// fones u can set d bt automatic, so it switched on if i made or received a call. D newer se fones has got only on or off, so it sucks constantly d batt by using d bt. Of course if u transfer datas or call with bt d standby time is shorter. Reg This message was posted from a R520

Ok, thanks!

So in that case I always have to turn on BT before getting into my car if I want to use a BT headset...

even with bluetooth "on" and talkig on the phone as well as using the phone for jotting, games and so on. I still have more than 3/4 battery when i get home in the evening, so it cant be that bad.

I had the same doubt about performance/consumption of the battery so I solve the problem by getting a second battery.

I have been using bluetooth since my first T68 when it came out and always have it set ON and have never been concerned by my battery usage.

The only phone I heard there was an issue with bluetooth and battery consumption was the T39.

I've always go bluetooth on (sort of defies the idea of BT if you have to reach into your bag and make settings whenever you want to connect your Palm etc.).

I've noticed no significant increase in battery consumption ctive BT communication is a whole different issue though - a connect FMA can suck my phone dry in a couple of hours.
