My p900 screen developed a fault so i sent it off to celestica for repair. They repaired and returned it, the whole process taking only 3 1/2 working days! Thats gotta be a new record for them!

Which Celestica are you referring to? The reason I asked is because I wanted to know if you were referring to the same Celestica I heard of. I know of a Celestica in the UK and SE recently acquired a division called Celestica in the states. The Celestica in the states replaced a service center which has been doing repairs for years. However, my experience with Celestica in the states has been horrible thus far. They took 3 months to replace a T68i and 2 months to return my buddy's P800. They claimed they were waiting for replacement parts all that time. They apparently had been operating like that for months with several SE customers. So if these companies have any relation to each other SE US should hire whomever is managing the UK service plants.

I just have to say if you are referring to Celestica in the UK - what a joke!

I work for Orange retail and they have the contract for repairing all our phones under warranty. On average they would take about 20 days to return a handset no matter how minor the fault. In my experience, a good 40% of the time, the phones come back and within a month are returned to our store again with excatly the same problem!

The customer service stinks aswell. It takes on average 45 minutes to get through to a customer service rep and even longer to speak to an actual technichan.

But fair play to you SwitchBitch at least they have one happy customer!

I personally wouldn't send a handset back to them unless it was a last resort - i would probably even pay to get it fixed if it wasn't anything major.

The purpose of this is really just to let people know what to expect when sending a back for repair under manufacturers warranty.

I sent my handset off to Celesticrap for a new LCD under warranty a couple of months ago. There were other things to be done as well.

The phone was returned after a week - not bad - but they never said what had been repaired. There was nothing inside the box at all - AND - I sent it in the original Orange box which also never got returned. Neither did the carry case or stylus.

I called then and waited ages to talk to someone who was less than knowledgable.

The LCD they fitted has a large yellow dot at the bottom - so it's off to them again. They also never tested the signal strength - it's still terrible.

Saying that, I only have a CPW service centre in Aberdeen, and anything is better than putting my dear phone in there ...

Their customer service is abysmal - Do SE not audit the companies they use - what a joke ......

I dont think it is even funny, I think Switchbitch has to be the luckiest person ever!

Celestica are total crap, I sent off a P800 to be fixed they returned a different LOCKED P800! The one they sent had scratches all over it!

I mean how can you get a phone back in a worse condition to the one you sent!

They kept my HBH 60 headset for over 2months!

You are lucky to get through to them on the phone, it nearly always takes me over 20mins to wait for them.

Why or why does SE use Celestica?

What are the best places to get the phone fixed in London. I want my Firmware upgraded, its an O2 P900? Any ideas guys. ( I dont want to do the online update)

Depends where you are in London.. I find RS Electrics in Tottenham great.. as well as Essex Cellular in Walthamstow.. I always get the phone back the same day!

All feedback is about Celestica UK... However, all the feedback echoes the same type of service US customers have received from them.. Anyone send anything to to SE USA service repair? Well, guess where it goes. Good 'ole Celestica.
