Hi all,

The only obnoxious thing (to me anyway) about my T610 is when I scroll through the contact list (by pulling down on the toggle), my recorded voice for each contact plays. *I know I can turn it off by turning off Voice Dialing in Voice Control.* But I still want to use Voice Dialing, just without the name playing each time.

I hope u can help.

Yes I think its possible. Go to 'Settings' then 'Voice control' then 'Caller Name' then switch it off.

Actually, the "Caller Names" option turns the Caller Announcement option. What this is, is when it is activated and one of the callers (who you have on your voice caller ID), their recorded name (the way you said it) will play back when they call you.

By the way, the only way to deactivate the names is by having the phone on silent. Sorry, but that's all you can do to stop it.

actually RMskater that's a pretty good workaround. Just one step to eliminate my blaring voice in my earbud!!!

I don't know. I like being able to know if one of my friends are calling. That's cool, if you don't like it, though.

Arrggghhh
too bad, they didn't enable this,
to sound loud out of the speaker when NO headset is attached..
man this is really toooo bad
it would totally fix the issue of not having recorded AMR's
to be used as ringtone, and would totally finish off this phone for me...
bummerrrrr

ok sorry for the mini hijack

What do you mean the mini-hi jack?

You know what I don't get? We can record our voices, and there is a perfect sounding ringer of an old phone ringer on our phones. We can play our recordings back on the phones speaker, we can send the recordings to our computer (bluetooth or IR), to another phone or whatever. We just can't use the recordings as our ringers!!! CRAZY!!!

@rmskater

no i ment, sorry for hijacking this thread, (in a small way ofcourse)
yes, it is very regratble that AMR's can not be used as ringers,
even the cheapest old Panasonic phone can do this... errr :-/

specially now they fixed them to sound very loud out of the
speaker, one would just expect them to enable ringertone choice for AMR...
well, who know's a couple of firmwares down the road...?

AMRs would be horrible as ringtones. The sound quality is not nearly good enough (unless you are just using voice for a ringtone (not music))
