> Blocking Withheld Callers??
Bookmark topic
I am currently being plagued with calls from someone who is withholding their number as I ( for reasons I don't want to go into here

) don't wish to speak to them. Is there anyway to just block calls from people who don't send their numbers so that they never show up on my phone at all, or maybe just divert them straight to my answerphone without bothering me.
It would be a godsend if there was!!
Any help much appreciated,
James

no, unfortunately the only choice you have is to
accept callers from:-
o all callers
o listed callers (the list is a list you define from your contacts or manually entered numbers)
o contacts
o Speed dial list
o no one
Why don't you call your phone company and complain if they are harrassing you?

So if i set it to accept only the numbers which I entered and I entered my whole address book, I understand that it wouldn't accept calls from people who I didn't know but would it also block withheld numbers??

correct. but just select the option to only accept calls from "contacts" as that means your whole phonebook
anyone else will go straight to your chosen divert for busy

Thanks for the quick response. Just had a thought: I don't suppose you know of a piece of software that exists that could block withheld numbers do you? I'm sure it would be quite a useful application.

Yes but if you get a call from a new number which is not in your address book you are going to miss it!

@ph0rce, its a feature thats missing from the T and Z series too and alot of people would really like it. I haven't seen any Px00 software to do this either but maybe someone else has?

folks.....
maybe there is a workaround....
Do you wanna try? I cannot at the moment since i'm travelling for business alone, bu I had this in mind...
1- create a new contact with no name
2- do not write any name!
3- on the mobile field write only +YOURCOUNTRYCODE (i.e. +41 +48 +30)
4- save the new contact
5- go to the caller screening menu
6- accept call only from the new contact you create
7- give a try if it works
The reason I think it may works is....
sometime I receive calls from company switchboards in the format
+390104711 were +39 is the countrycode, 010 is the areacode and 4711 is the number of the switchboard, but if I have a contact for that company with the extension (i.e. +390104711203) assigned to a contact when I receive a call from the switchboard, my phone always think that is the full number +390104711203 calling... when I answer I think is the extension, but in reality it's the switchboard.
So I think the opposite can work
Its like a kinda of subnet mask for the phone numbers (ha ha ha)
I apologize if it doesn't work, but at least I give a try!
Regards
