Guess what? I was reading the forum this afternoon in the computer lab. As a result, I had to keep my phone on silent. Anyways, I came upon a thread about people complaining that they hated the ascending ringer on their phones (it was the T610, by the way). The thread is
right here. Well, listen to this.
I have AIM on my phone. This AIM uses text messaging, not WAP, like many people have thought. (I have US AT&T Wireless service, by the way. You can learn about it here) Well, this is cool, but if you are signed into your AIM on your phone AND your PC, then when you are talking to people, you will get the messages from the person on BOTH your phone and your computer (regardless of which device you are typing your messages on).
Well, I signed off of the PC, but stayed online on my phone (to surprise my wife when I came home, cause she thought that I was still signed on in the PC in the computer lab).
I turned the phone off of silent, cause I was trying to hear a recording that I had recorded earlier. However, at that moment, my wife text/IM'd my phone. I had Message Alert #2 on (where it rings, then echoes). This HURT REALLY BAD since the phone's speaker was RIGHT UP AGAINST MY EAR. OWWW!!!

I have AIM on my T300 (don't know anyone else that has this, weird!) and am on TMobile.. I have the same problem of being logged on AIM on the computer and on my phone getting the msgs on both.. to fix this you just turn your away msg ON the phone.. then you dont get duplicate msgs on your phone. Hope this helps!

If you actually read his post, you'll see it works through text messaging, not mophun. So it's likely operator specific.

Ok. But the other guy said that he has it too on his 300 that is why i thought. But is it still a app? But 300 supports only mophun.

If you actually read my post, then you would see that I use text messaging with my AIM. There's also a link to see how it's done through AT&T.
Anyways, I send a text message to AIM, with my screenname and my password. They sign me on, then send me a text message back with my buddy list on it.
Each one of my buddies are assigned a four digit number. Whenever I want to talk to one of them, I simply text the message, then send it to that specific number!!! Simple!

Not really, I have 300 text messages on my plan, and I don't pay extra for the service, so as long as I don't go over my alloted text messaging plan, all I pay is the monthly text message fee.
