Everytime I get a voicemail, I also get an SMS text message telling me I have a voicemail... what's with the redundancy? The text message reads something like this:

" You have (1) new voicemail. Dial "123" to retrieve"

Dialing "123" doesn't even do anything. It's annoying to delete these text messages everytime I get a voicemail. Is there anyway to disable this feature?

I did a search on this topic and found 1 post, but didn't see any replies with solutions. By the way, I'm on T-Mobile's service in New York.

I just got off the phone with T-Mobile customer service, but the woman I spoke to wasn't sure about the problem. She said that it's a standard thing that T-Mobile does as part of its service, it isn't specific to my phone, and there is probably no way to disable it.

Anyone else annoyed with this problem like I am? Let's start a petition.

With Vodafone you just disable it. It is part of the settings, you can change it by calling a number or (I think) by going to their site.

Geez! You said you used the search, yet you never even found this post!!! If you read it, it explains that it is through T-Mobile! You can't disable it!

is an effort 2 lobby t-mo 2 change their vm notication method. I hope u will join in contacting t-mo on a regular basis 2 lodge ur complaints.
