> P800 Sync Station install error--HELP!
Bookmark topic
I can not get anyone at Sony support to help me on this issue:
The Connection to the Sync Station database (hermes.mdb) did not install correctly. Pleas create an ODBC connection to the database manually.
I have seen this posted with no response before. Has anyone seen this and how did you fix it? The PDA is not much use to me if I can not link to Outlook.
Here is what I have:
PC--laptop
Win 2000 Pro
Office XP
Outlook 2002
I have turned off my virus sw and there aren't any firewalls.
HELP!!

Install pc suite once again and try to attach sync station directly to a usb port (this problem can occur if you connect sync station through a usb hub)

Do you mean in the Device Manager? I show the SEMC DSS-20 SyncStation listed under both "Ports" and "Universal Serial Bus Controllers"
If not, where do I change this?

What i mean is that you connect the sync station to a free usb port. This port is fit on the pc or you use a usb hub?
If yes then attach your sync station directly on the pc and give it a try.

Try uninstalling PCSuite.
Remove the station from the port.
Install PCSuite again.
Only then, connect the station.
