I am not sure it is "so long" to announce a new model.
The last announcement was October 20 for the P900 and T630 and shortly before that for the Z200 so thats less than 3 months ago.
The next announcement may be at Cebit in March

i just don't get it... all the people were angry at se because of z1010 and p800 delays and now when se figured out it's best to announce them just before the sails, people are again angry because they don't have anything to look at and say: wow i'm going to buy this phone.......
what do you want from SE!!!!!!!!

and since 'Sony Ericsson' is yet another company, that just happens to manufacture phones, I cannot think of anything better for them to do.
I feel it would not be likely to announce new models so short before Cebit anyway....

@701 I'm with you there.
Firstly the T610 and the Z600 are brilliant phones, they are both feature packed and suit people who like standard phones and flip phones. So why is there such a rush to see new phones, at the moment picture messaging and cameras seem to be the main new technology and I am aware that there is this 'edge' thing which is supposed to be the saviour of mobile phones but I haven't yet heard of a positive thing it does. So why does everyone want SE to rush out this new line of phones which are all the same thus making SE like nokia?
Secondly, do you really want SE to rush these phones? If so then stop complaing when you get your brand new T660 or whatever and it is full of software bugs and things which have not been properly finished due to time restrictions.
I personally think it is a much better idea to let SE take their time wait till there is new technology to put into their phones and then release another outstanding phone like the T610 instead of making a bunch of T610 clones. T630....
Just my opinion of course.

personally I'd prefer to see an improvement to existing models instead of a new model.. like a t610 2nd generation would be awesome!.. you know fixed the screen glare prob, increased built in memory, louder speaker for the ringer.. they should take the same approach as car manufacturers and keep the same base and just improve upon it instead of continually trying to reinvent the wheel.

I think Se should follow the trends in mobile world!
Like right now there r Megapixels built in camera with flashlight, memory slot included, mp3/mp4 player......SE could try to use these technologies!!!
To satisfy SE's fans, it should include all the latest technolgies and not keep on IMPROVING and IMPROVING and IMPROVING the old phone model like wht they did recently [T610 -> T630]..
Sorry for any rudeness
