here is my project idea:
i'm still frustrated with the virtual keyboard, though ezitap meant a big improvement.
but - the keyboard is still too small for typing while walking. or with the thumbs.
so - how about making a "fullscreen" keyboard, rotated by 90 degrees ?
- just loading an image file with the keyboard layout and a txt file defining rectangle - areas in this image where the corresponding keys are located. then a simple text-prediction and a button for copying this stuff to the clipboard. just like personal jotter, but with a virtual keyboard instead. or maybe the pjotter programmer could add such a keyboard? i asked him once, but he seemed to have not too much interest.
the reason im requesting this is that the ezitap programmers did not react on my simple improvement requests. so why should i register? they never will satisfy my customer needs. for example a very simple to implement wish: just 2 lines of word preview instead of one would greatly speed up typing. but - a friendly secretary always replies that she will forward my ideas to the development team - but - nothing happens. project finished. closed source. shit.

@ herc,
What a great idea, I have been wanting that kind of keyboard for a loooong time, and I have also triede the "look-through" keybaord (or whatever it is called) but it is not really that great...no what I am really interesting in (besides what you are mentioning) is a keyboard which is bigger than the virtual keyboard in flip closed mode, when the real flip has been removed. The reason for this is that even though I have small fingers I am still having difficulties in pressing the correct button when writting a SMS in flip closed mode without having the real flip mounted (and no I do not want to use the pen, as this would require two-hand operation, and that is not what I want)....but if anyone have heard about a prog. which will solve this prob, I would be more than happy to hear about it.

I'll never understand people who can even *consider* actually touching the screen with their fingers.

yes, see-through keyboard is not that great, no text prediction.
and - no - i do not want to touch my screen with my fingers, end - if - rather seldom. i just want to have a chance to type text while sitting in a car or walking. no chance with the current keyboard.
and you are not right - it IS programmable in java. i was not requesting an additional FEP like ezitap, just a seperate application in the way personal jotter works. tough - a FEP version would be much more cooler

(but it seems to be much harder to program - or whats the reason there are still no other FEP-plugins than ezitap ?!?)

...so whats wrong in touching the display with your finger...it is a touch display you know and besides your finger is softer than the pen...so whats the prob????
