> P800 automatic call rejection?!
Bookmark topic
Lately I've been having a strange problem with my phone. More often than not it decides to reject calls by giving a busy tone after a few (usually 4) rings and what's really strange is the fact that I don't even have any divertions activated and even my voicemail is turned off.
I've even tried all the network codes for for switching off all divertions like ##002# and ##004# but since I did not have any divertions activated to begin with it still seems strange to me. When I put my sim in another phone it just keeps ringing without any rejection at all so I've eliminated it down to an error in my p800?
As I'm not always in a position to answer my phone within 4 rings this issue is getting pretty annoying, but I've also noticed that when people call me 3 times in a row (the ones that don't like no for an answer) then the third time the phone keeps on ringing like it should and only the first two attempts are given the busy tone.
I'm a bit puzzled by all this and maybe anyone of you could help me out here. I have a six month old mineral grey p800 03w16, organiser firmware version R2D02 and I use the phone without the flipkeypad. The phone acts like this in all sorts of conditions, either in the carrying case in my pocket or when it just lays han solo on any surface (screen facing up or down).
Anyone have any insights on this matter and yes I've used the search function. Thanks in advance!

Make u backup, reset the phone & try it. This way u'll have an idea about the problem.

Tried the backup & restore option and even with a "clean phone" the action mentioned in the above post keeps happening.
I tried calling my own number and noticed that the phone now rejects calls either instantly (after 1 or 2 rings) or after a while (8+ rings). And I've also concluded that it can't be the simcard because I've tried several sims and in all cases the phone acted like it should (or better yet should not!).
The phone is acting like it has a will of it's own!

Ever tried an update? Perhaps with new software, the problem is gone...? In case you live close to A'dam...Kinkerstraat. There you can update. Mention this error, take your receipt, and they should do it for free....
Succes!
