> Sites to send MMS with (europe mainly)
Bookmark topic
Hello all,
This is my second post to the Esato forum, I posted something similar in the European-forum, but it didn't even get read I'm afraid!
Aaaanyways, now I'm, trying to send it in this forum instead, hoping to get some kind of response....

Have you guys noticed the impossible mission to MMS someone in another country? (I'm thinking of "phone -> phone" MMS:ing)
For example;
I want to MMS my girl in Greece from Sweden where I am, but it's not possible for me using Telia Mobile. She has both Cosmote and Telestet, where Cosmote at least sends a SMS giving me a webpage, login / password to access the MMS she send to me.
So, as I want to be able to send MMS to her phone, what can I do? (besides bitching at Telia Mobile, of course (gets old after a while - believe me, and nothing happens within that rigid organisation))
What webservices do you people recommend to use to MMS to Greece, or really; to any place outside "dear old Sweden"?
Are there any webservices that have a good variation of Interconnect-agreement internationally in Europe?
Any feedback is most appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance!
Cheers all!!!!! (again)

I have yet to find a way to get mms directly to a phone in another country. I don't think it can be done at this time. Which is why imho mms is utter poo.

Thank you for your response, but this is not possible with most operators I've seen and worked with - at least not the ones I'm thinking of, such as Vodafone (Panafon)&Cosmote in Greece, or Telia in Sweden.

Does anyone have any hyperlinks to email servers/sites that can send MMS globally?

I've found
http://www.zidango.com - though this requires both the sender and receiver to modify their MMS-settings in their phones - so this is not really an option!
About the email-servers; it's not up to the actual sending smtps to "being able" to send their emails to a network's customers - it's about the network allowing this to happen, and most does not, as MMS is a operator revenue.

@Fluffy : Cytech wrote in the swedish Telia MMS thread
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=13796&start=200 that Telia has updated their servers to support MMS to be sent abroad.
If you still cant send MMS I guess its a matter of that the Greek operator has to update their servers too...

It's the operators fault. For example i cant send mms to any other operator than mine :-(
But mms is still free in my country, that's the good side :-)

I've just been in contact with Telia (one of several times about this matter), and I'm afraid that Cytech is wrong.
I'm very disappointed on Telia and the other operators to not being able to get a solid Interconnect happening!
They are shooting themselves in the foot when not working together to create value for their customers and revenue for the operators themselves.
The lack of co-operation and customer-friendly behavior is close to a joke!!!
If you look at
http://www.telia.se/pw/privat[....]ype=EDITORIAL&channelId=-76421 you will see that this is not the case. (swedish page for those who want to click on it - it's a MMS Interconnect-listing)
