I am fed up waiting for T-Mobile to release new handsets for the network. I am also consistently having problems with reception and GPRS is temperamental. I have been looking at the other networks, namely Orange and O2. I would like to know from you which of these two you reckon I should go for. I require good reception, reasonably cheap packages, all inclusive at about £30 to £40 a month with SMS. oh, and free voicemail. Thank you.

In my honest opinion, Orange wins hands down!!! Good reception and if you do have any problems, you can talk to a customer service assistant whe knows what they are talking about!! When you ring O2, its a case of "Send you the GPRS settings?? Err... Just hold the line while I speak to the Technical Department..." Thick Bastards!!! Apologies for the bad language, Skin

O2 for price and signal/gprs quality. But orange for customer service reliability. None of then have free voicemail i dont think.

when i first came to the u.k. i was on t-mobile and they were terrible. i since went to ornage and have been with them for nearly 3 years, and have always found their customer service second to none. i went through a phase of pukking all the time (don't know what was going on there) and they are so good. i found i wasn't using the contract enough to justify it when my partner and i started living together, so i have now gone to payg, but when i was on contract i found it pretty competitive with pricing and the coverage was good, although that also depends a bit on which handset you use too. i get just a good service with payg as i did with contract, something i found differing when on t-mobile. in defence of o2 i can't say yes or no, as i have never been with them, but my experience of ornage has always been good.
hope this helps,
ian

Voicemail will be free in most orange tariffs cus they include it in your mins or you can choose to pay 10p a min,and dont forget that all orange cust service is a free call if you take a contract with them, coverage has to be the best too,my t68i (even with its weak rf) does pretty well tho with my payg sim in it
Cant you port your existing number to orange aswell?

T-Mobile and Orange have really good customer service in my experience. O2 and Vodafone have always been consistantly bad in this area.
