When I open CommuniCorder the selected mode is always the Night-mode! Why is that? Iīd much more like it to be in Auto-mode by default! Does your phones behave like this?
The version I have is R3A06...

Mine do that unless I flush processes with SMan! When I do that it switches back to Night-mode...

it could be because of the sman program,
that closes programs and saves the last settings
like in pictures aswell
close flip on a differetn folder then its still there when you open it up
should work for everything else..
just go to default and close the program using sman
or filemanager (the download one from my-symbian) task manager and close the program down. to save battery and for the later use at default

I just tested with SMan flushing and it still remembers my last cam settings and communicorder is not on my list of programs to keep

Its likely to be due to what mode it was in when you took the first snapshot with SMAN as thats what it will revert back to when you do a flush i think...

SMan identifies what applications are running and will terminate the application and "ask" it to do it's internal cleanup before terminating. Unless you do a "force endtask" option that just kills the app from memory without proper cleanup.
It does not specifically "tell" an app to save settings, etc...
Though this doesn't explain your problem, I hope it explains how SMan works.
