I've set up POP3 email via GPRS on my T610, but as with so many others cannot send using my ISP's SMTP server as it can only be used when connected via the ISP's network.
I've spoken to T-Mobile technical support to try and get an SMTP serer, but they keep trying to give me the runaround and subscribe me to some web mail crap.
So, to those of you that are successfully using POP3 email over GPRS with their original ISP's addresses, exactly what settings and servers are you using?
Many thanks

Cheers mate! Nice one.
All I needed was the SMTP server name, and all the silly twats at T-Mobile tech support could do was either try to subscribe me to a WAP mail service or tell me the only way to get POP3 was to buy a Symbian phone and use their custom app

Those silly Twxts are told to make money for T-mobile!
Had the same problem and they could not give a direct answer despite many emails!
Once you understand the concept of pop and smtp you only require the right ISP settings which T-mobile seem very reluctant to give out!

Init!
Hehe, phoned them up today to change my contract, afterwards remembering what they were like the other day and decided to play innocent for a laugh and ask again for the SMTP server.
Was put through to several people, most of which were "technical staff" and every single one took me for a muppet and kept asking what make and model of laptop I've got (WHAT IN F.UCK'S NAME DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH IT??!?), then spun off the same b0llocks about signing up for WAP mail or getting a Symbian phone and an app, then tried to tell me there is no way that my T610 can support POP3 mail! Bunch of jokers!
Was on the verge of laughing/repeatedly headbutting the wall at this point, so composed myself and proceeded to firmly tell them "look, I know perfectly well how to set up POP3 mail on my phone, I have all the settings already set, all I need is the address of your SMTP server so that I can send mail from my phone, please"...
Was again put through to some other "technical" bloke, who put me on hold for a bit before coming out with: "sorry, I've checked a few times and we do not have any email servers and we don't support POP3 email. If you want I can subscribe you to our WAP email service, or our instant email service for which you'd have to buy a new handset and download a program onto it"
Jesus wept!!!
Worth a laugh though
