Damn it.

I was kicked out of class today because my ringer went off. Our professor is pretty strict about cell phones in his class. He asks everybody whose cell phone goes off to leave. I just set a beep once / vibrate all the time. I don't want to embarrass myself in public places. Today my P900 ringtone was set to beep once / vibrate, but when I received a call, my P900 played the default ringtone of Sony Ericsson, and I had to leave the lecture in front of 460 students. I was very embarrassed. It’s not the first time that it does this stupid thing to me. It has done it before. Another strange behavior is when I set the volume of the ringer to minimum; it should silence the ringer only and not the reminders or alarms. But that isn’t what my P900 does. When I set the ringer to minimum, it silences everything, just like full silent mode. These strange behaviors started happening after I started syncing my phone with Outlook 2003. So I related the problems to synchronizing with incompatible software.

I just bought Office 2003 Professional, and because of my P900 I requested a downgrade to Office XP (Outlook 2002) from Microsoft. I should receive it soon. I hope everything works out when I start syncing my P900 with Outlook 2002.

*sighs* I have been having many problems with my P900 lately. I’m beginning to hate him

Why don’t Symbian engineers design their own freaking desktop software like Palm did and spare us all of these problems of synchronization? Damn lazy mofo’s. Symbian does not give me the professional feel like Palm. I conclude that Symbian is crap compared to Palm! Can’t wait to see a decent Palm smart phone in the market! (Decent = P900 features with stable Palm OS) I will be the first to buy it.

Can't say I've had any of your problems. The Symbian OS works flawlessly with my Outlook and I have no complaints about the sync.

However there is something that bugs me. When I use a theme with no installed sounds, it automatically sets all sounds to default. Any way around this? I want my sound settings to stay as they are but to change just the display for themes.
