that's a bit broad isn't it?
also the title of your topic doesn't exactly tell us much does it?
try being a bit more specific.... what history? tech development?? use of cellphones?? Specific brands or just one? timespan?? project for what\? how much detail? tried contacting phones manufacturers??

Sorry, but you really got me laughing! I have been in the mobile phone business since 1994, and that is alot of info. Start with the basics of wireless, then deal with one area, like europe, USA, japan, etc. Way too much info. Even for a Masters paper.
Maybe you can explain in your paper why people puchase a mobile phone, then return it becuase it will not work at home, which is the only place they plan on using their mobile phone.

I did a work on this for my school a while ago. Basiacly I took up MTA, NMT, GSM and finally 3g in some of it's forms. But he's right, it's way too much work if you're going to have all of it in it...

Because the sales staff have fed the customer that much **** that when they get home, they find out that the phone they have just bought will never do what they have said it will do in the shop. Thats that paper done!

OK, then. Easy enough. LOL. I know it is just 2 stores, but won't find any of my reps pulling that crap. I will, and have, yanked them off the sales floor faster then can spit in their eye for that kind of garbage. Especially as it always seems that I end up involved when a rep tells, well, let's say, an untruth. Ticks me off. What I always teach during my sales speils is that you under promise, over deliver, as well as NEVER exagerate or evade or make something up to get the sale. It is typically very easy to talk to someone in wireless (no joke intended), and every untruth will come back to haunt you. With all due humility, I am good enough in sales to not have to do that, plus, it really sucks when some customer comes back and gets in your face about something you told them.
My rant for the day.
