> T610 Email - Errors
Bookmark topic
Hi there,
First post here, but I've been lurking for some time. My problem is that I can't send or receieve email via POP3 & SMTP. All settings appear to be okay (I'm with O2 Ireland, I used their OTA to send settings to my T610), and I've tried various configurations to get my phone to pick up my mail. Currently, my mail server is inaccessible via it's IP address too. I have O2's DNS servers set up correctly using GPRS, and this also fails to work. I'm all out of suggestions, and I was wondering if anyone had any idea's? Currently, while sending and receieving mail, it holds on "finding server" until it times out and displays a "No server found".
I'd really not rather not resort to using Sirus email again, so any replies would be greatly, greatly appreciated
Thanks!
- Jason

I've got an account with my provider, but using those settings also returns the same series of errors. I've reinputted all the settings again, and now I simply get a "cannot connect to server" message

Currently whilst connecting, I'm still getting a "no server found" message while using either my mail servers IP address, or simply mail.domain.com. This is if I "connect using" O2 Prepaid GPRS".
If I connect using "O2 GPRS Email", I get a "cannot connect to server" error. Here's a run down of how I've got all my accounts set up on my phone; it's pretty confusing.
Connectivity>Data Comm.

2 Prepaid GPRS:
APN: pp.wap.o2.ie
user id/password: blank
IP address/DNS address: blank

2 GPRS Email:
APN: internet
user id/password: blank
IP address/DNS address: blank
Wap Options>Wap Profiles
O2 Prepaid GPRS selected
I'm sure there must be some O2 Ireland members in here who could help me out
Thanks!
