hi guys,

just need some comments from other people besides my girlfriend...

i'm using the t610 since it was first launched and frankly, i'm getting a little bored with it, i dont really use bluetooth, cos i use the infra red between my laptop n t610... the camera quality on the t610 is really shit (sorry) compared to some of the other VGA phones out there... basically i just use the phone as a phone, take pictures, play some games on it really... but looks is quite important for me.

So, I'm thinking of getting the E710 (like the E700, just with flash n video record capabilities AND the outer screen is monochrome) in the meantime, since the t650 wont be out for quite some time, and i'm not really an innovator type so i'll probably wait for reviews and all before getting the t650...

come on, let me know what you guys think... oh n the shitty thing is the E710 is only available on Voda live!

cheers,

dries.

If you won't miss the and the email client and the themes and such, and you don't mind clamshells, I suppose you could go for a E700 or 710.... but then again might wait a short while in case Samsung or some other has e new phone lined up???

i agree, a v600 is better but a e715 is better than a t610 if u don't need those above:)

As pentax, nikon, canon and minolta are the only real consumer photoequipment producers and not HP, Sony, trust or samsung, so is only phone manufacturer ericsson and blokia others are some washingmachine, pager and souncentre makers

I'd say go ahead and get the E710 - its a really nice phone, wonderfull design (best looking clamshell on the market), wonderfull screen, good camera, lots of memory for pics and ringtones, 40 polytones that sounds great. If these are the things that matters Id go for the E710 anyday. No S//E phone can match the Samsung E700/710 in these areas. P900 not included since its a smartphone.

But If you value easy troublefree connection with your PC and other phones - then the S//E phones are much much better.

E710 is shitty when it comes to communicating with your pc - even with the IR - you can only communicate using special software from samsung and most of the time it doesnt work over IR.

Sometimes we need to try other phones in order to truly value the troublefree functionality of the S//E phones.
Therefore get the E710 - and either discover that you can never live without an S//E phone again, or discover that you dont really need the communicationfunctinality of S//E phones.

As long as you dont buy a Nokia - then all is forgiven

Dont wait for the T650 - thats bull - it wont be out untill christmas 2004 - and noone can yet tell you for sure if it will be a nice phone or not.

Personally I fear they are gonna mess the T650 up and deliver some oddball nowhere near what I want. They are propably going to ruin the nice design of the T610 and put some annoying symbian OS or something on it. I ditched my P800 for the T610 because of the symbian and the clumsy design.

@vr

umm, sony is most definitely a consumer photographic manufacturer. they are arguably a market leader in the field.
