I just got email from de SE support (Belgium) with an answer to my question if it will become possible to upgrade the firmware at home (like the P900).

Their answer: we have no info on that.

Which means that, if this will ever become possible, it won't be soon, since I've alwaus found SE support in my country very knowledgeable and informed (especially on the firmware dep).

So I guess it's of to the service centre, too bad

according to some post in here (search) it will not be possible at all, officially for T610, to do it at home (through the web that is). But you can always download the firmware and get the cable needed ofc... :]
