Hello,

t610 with R3C002 firmware Version, Battery S/N made 03W27.
t230 Battery S/N made 03W48 (dunno how to check the firmware version.. ).

i was just seeing the performances of t610 and t230 with respect to the sound. And to my disbelief, the t230 outscores its big brother .
t610 still has that hissin sound and a crackling tik tik sound after for the sms ringtones and also for the call ringtones..
but i found none with the t230.. and it just rocks without any crackling sound.. .
Do i need to visit the to check my speaker of t610 or its normal?..

thanks..
jade.

Some cracking sound on 610? Wierd! The 230 has something called real sounds which rocks. You can also set AMRs as ring tones i guess :-D how do you overall like the phone now that you have opened it :-) This message was posted from a WAP device

real sounds .. havent checked it.. but its got real kool sound.. which is crystal clear.. and i changed the text size to smallest and it works well with image editor uploaded some kewl wallpapers.. then i tried my luck with fMA which didn work..(n i suppose fMA is only for T610 .. very less support info from them .. and even in their forums..).

but t230 is slow compared to t610 .. heapsize matters i guess.. where t610 has 256 kb of dynamic memory (heap)..

4096 color display looks ok but more ok if u contrast it to the max..

the NO button is very tricky as u cant just be in any level (menu depth) and come back to standby mode.. because if u keep on pressing the NO button it will switch off.. .. i wished had introduced a button more for the 'BACK' option and pushed the POWER button to the top as its in t610..
WAP browser i havent yet fiddled around..

Just a small question (not to be rude or anything), why did you state the battery manufacturing dates of the phones? I mean that doesn't really matter...

@ppcrockar...

thanks for posing a question...

i believe in permutation and combination .

so the week 27 for t610 -> i really dunno from which week guys started fixing all this hissing and crackling noises.. so i had to state this to clear my dangling doubt.

week 48 for t230 -> it sounds quite recent somewhere around the end of november 2003 so w.r.t t610 .. ofcourse mustave seen the sound quality of the same and did something with the t230..

bottomline -> i wanted to make sure their manufacturing dates to gauge their enhancements.

hope i've cleared ur mind.
