> Some questions about the T39m
Bookmark topic
Hi all,
Just got me a (slightly used) T39m and I have a few q`s for y`all.
1. There never seems to be more than 2 signal bars noi matter where I am in my city (main UK city so no coverage probs).
2. There is frequently a message that says "SOS only" on screen...huh?
3. How do I access the EXTRAS > ACCESSORIES menu
4. I have my providers GPRS and GSM config but I cant get my mail...all settings appear correct.
If someone can help, go for it
much appreciated
Pete

Thanks for your reply.
On my screen frequently I get "SOS only" and this alternates between "BTCELLNET" and the prior message of "SOS only". The signal-o-meter (ha ha!) fluctuates between 1 bar and 3 bars but no higher. and the SOS thing seems intermittant.
Not sure how to check for SW (software?) so advice would be good maybe!
Oh, BTW, thanks...upgraded (so to speak) from a CUMBERSOME, CRASH-PRONE orange SPV!
I have only downloaded the GPRS for my provider but the problems persisted prior to this.

the (in)famous network problem on T39m... caused by bad circuits... so I hope it's still under warranty, cause otherwise it will be expensive...

many T39 have problem with the reception, no reception at all, or very bad reception... this is caused by bad soldering on a BGA circuit on the mainboard, a temporary solution is to resolder it, but the problem will occur again... in order to fix it, the circuit needs to be replaced...

Ok, hmm, arggghhh!!! Well, it always seems to be connected, just with low signal or this SOS thing. I`ll maybe check for a few days to see what happens and then seek a refund if it stays the same...nic ephone though

Still heaps better than the SPV!
