Just been playing with miniGPS - quite a neat little program if not a little limited in the UIQ version. The Series60 version allows for profile swapping, which would be so handy... if the P900 had profiles
But, we do have themes, so I could easily setup a Home theme (when I arrive in my Home group of cells), Car theme (for when I leave my Home/Work group of cells) and Work theme (for when I get there). All with different rings, etc.
Now, I could either wait for psiloc to write this, or, could someone build a little extension program?
I'd need 3 applications - all they do when you run them is change to that theme. Then miniGPS could be setup to run them as required.
Any chance of there being a solution for this already?

I'm also having difficulty with MiniGPS. It shows cell status etc, but when I set actions it never does any of them! I have set the times and dates etc it just doesnt seem to take any action when changing cells.hmmm
Anyways, it may be worth emailing Psiloc to see whateir plans are..

It may be you're moving in and out of cells too much, or in a huge cell. Have you tried creating a group for where you are, then collecting cells whilst you walk about that area? I live in quite a smallish house, yet I have 6 cells for my house alone!
Work is significantly larger, but only has 2 cells.
I can see the alarms and SMSing being a little annoying, but changing themes, that could be cool...
I've emailed PsiLoc to ask if the program's going anywhere, and also mentionned my idea. Let's see how good their email response times are

That was it. They didn't answer my question about if there is going to be any more work done on the program, and I praised them for writing an intuitive program! Oh well.
Are there any developers out there who would be able to russel up the extension I'm talking about?

I would actually see that more as an update of the P800 alarm clock, in which we could put a condition on the localization by choosing from a menu one of the miniGPS cells record.
That was my idea of the day
Anyway don't know how to program this so.... its just a thought for the moment........
