I am pretty sure I will be getting the P900... since I have UX40. Just wondered, appart from being able to bet on Horse racing live Which means i could make a lot of ££££ if I do goto horse racing tracks which I don't, are there any benifits appart from running Windows Pocket PC ? I quite fancy the Symbian OS esp. the updated P900 version which allows me to coustmize eg. change backgrounds etc. Already got 128MB already for my P800 soon to be P900 + the 32MB which makes it the ultimate music player on the mobile... shame it doesn't support more, if it did, I'd be sorted... So any advices before I go ahead with P900 ? Where can I download P900 softwares? I tried to find it on Kazaa, none, nothing on mIRC either and the web seems to be quite limited.

Did i read that right... are you comparing the P900 with an ipod as a music player...?

Well, the p900 comes with a 32mb duo, the biggest it can accept is 128mb...HOWEVER... the Ipod comes with storage space in the realm of multiple GBs (10, 15, 20 even)... seeing as a 20GB ipod can be picked up for around £290 (@Amazon) whilst a 128mb duo costs £45(ish)... i think the average non-mathematician would be able to see the ipod as the better bet...without even considering the sound quality aspect, or battery life

A 128mb duo could hold around 2-3 albums of average size, then you would have to swop them, like you would with a cassette tape... that doesn't sound like a serious music piece of kit to me!...

Like the camera and video recorder, the MP3 player of the P900 (and also XDA 2, though to a lesser extent since they can use higher capacity cards, although still expensive, not as dear as a duo) is a welcome addition to a phone, and can while away the odd hour, but cannot ever replace a dedicated device... end of story...

P900 and XDAII are not to be compared.
XDAII: is a windows Palm which has a 128 internal memory and external memory up to 512
XDAII: has a screen double the size of the P900 (aprox.)
XDAII: has a faster processor
XDAII: Is a perfect Pocket PC that is compatible with GSM

lets just say that p900 is cheaper, better looking, easier to carry
gives you all you need.. with some add-ons (softwares and stuff) it could look like a proficional pocket pc.... but its only problem is the storage...

and regarding the music player thingie yes it plays music perfectly it depends on the quality of the file you send to your phone... but as said befor it doesnt take that much of files due to the small memory ..... so you have to live with that to me i bought the P900 i preferred it over the XDAII ...i decided after a LOOOONG time of thinking (which is 2 days lol i cant hold my self more than that)

If money is not a matter. Then you'd be left no reason of not getting an xda II...

Yes, I love the XDA II, but the P900 (which I bought) is a better phone/PDA, not a PDA/phone.

XDA II is a PDA, it's PDA sized, and someone added phone functions to it at the end. P900 is a phone enhanced with PDA functions. If you're a heavy business user go for the XDA II. If you need a smartphone that will occasionally be used to organize aspects of your life go with the P900.
I considered the XDA II but its size and the lack of a proper phone keypad turned me off.
