I have a T68i in Italy, using Vodafone service. Recently (last 2 months) it has failed often when I send smses, and I must power down then powerup the phone, after which it sends smses fine for a few minutes. Then it goes back to behaving badly, with the error message "SMS failed saved in unsent". I also don't receive smses or calls during this blackout period. Only after rebooting my phone do I get smses that were sent to me during this time. The behavior is sporadic so it's hard to predict, but I'd like to be able to fix this without sending it in. By the way, for how long is the warranty? I bought it in Firenze, Italy . . . in April 2003, less than 1 year ago. I at first suspected a problem with my SIM card, but I placed a friend's Vodafone SIM card into my phone and had the same error, so evidently it's a problem with my T68i. If you have suggestions for what I can do to remedy this problem, I'd appreciate your advice.

Thank you in advance, - Erick

Think you should hand it in to your local SE support centre and see what they say...

Thanks Tim. They told me it would take 20 days (I'm still under warranty), but I can't live without my T68i Telefonino for that long. It's social death here in Italy. Perhaps I should buy a phone like yours, that Z600, what a sexy beast. But they don't sell them in any of the stores here in Italy . . . where would I go to get one? I can then use the T68i as a backup. I'll be moving to France in a few months so I need a phone that can be used in both these countries, and that has T9 pretexting in Italian, French, and English. And . . . Macintosh compatibility, as the T68i does.

Is it expensive, the Z600? Or are there lesser Ericsson phones that I should look for? Size/weight is a big deal for me, so if it's very big then I'd go for a smaller and less feature-packed phone.
