Your not going to like Esato much then ...

I believe that if you hit the '1' key on a Nokia you get various symbols. On the P800/900 on the onscreen keyboard there are buttons, which when pressed bring up a new keypad with different symbols on them. One such button has '123' on it I believe the other has accentuated charcters on it, not too sure, but I hope I am at least pointing you in the right direction.

You're not using it and you're asking where the "&" symbol is? LOL

If you actually get to use the phone and are using the on-screen keyboard, you'll see a shift key, just like on your PC! It works just like on a PC too, by allowing you to capitalize letters at the start of sentences, and converting numbers to their shift-key equivalents. Look on your PC keyboard. How would you get the & sign? Shift-7!!

As for the "arogant know all answers": Tough. Don't ask silly questions if you don't want a corresponding answer.

@Greggy, There are lots of "Know alls" on Esato, thats why people like YOU come here for information.
There is a total of FIVE different qwerty keyboard screens,

ABC (caps on)
abc
aeo (language option symbols)
aeo (language option symbols) (caps on)
123

Although i rarely give info to rude newish members who don't realise that you get more help on here if your nice.

Ah rite u press the cap button ive found the & symbol although i still havnt found the - symbol. Ok maybe i over reacted but i thought the first person who replied was sarcastic my guess he knew the answer . When i get conversent with my phone.. This message was posted from a Nokia

Thats easy to find as it is on the default screen below the 5.

another keyboard is available for less well sighted users, its available as a downloadable application, it covers the whole screen & stays transparent but the standard SE one is the best.
