You have a few options.
Get hold of PSiloc Colour Schemes and change you background colour.
This is still leaves it pretty boring looking,
another option is to buy a P900 and use Themes
Best thing to do, is get Tracker 3.02,
With this this you can use Skins and completely change the look and feel of you device.
