I have just started to code for the P900 and was wondering if anybody had any ideas for a project ? It would have to be a fairly simple project to get me started so any suggestions ?

I used to love a little app on the palm called happydays.

On the palm on contacts you could have date of birth (where this app pulled the data from) but to be honest you could just input the dates into the app anyway.

Basically it showed you all your contacts (which you had given a date of birth) sorted them according to who'd birthday was coming up next, and clicking on their name told you their exact age in days, weeks, months, years, how long to their next birthday in days, weeks, months etc etc.

It would be nice to have an alert (user definable time period) which popped up on screen when a birthday was coming up.

Also perhaps a note area, giving gift info, what they had last year, what things they like ect.....

A Birthday management util if you like.

Here's the link to the palm version.

But the P900 could look a lot prettier, peoples photo's etc etc

Do a shoppingList program. Seems fairly easy to code and some people might buy it. It's not yet done with C language. All the available ShoppingLists are on Visual Basic. I don't use appforge that's why I never downloaded any of them.

If you decided to do that one, give me a copy for free. I want one.

Thanks!

There certainly would be a niche for someone who used ideas from other software currently on the market, improving them, and adding their own slant along the way...

But, the main interest would be in releasing said software for a reduced price, since from what I have seen, much of the commercial stuff is drastically overpriced for what you get at present...
