MMS setup Telenor

Send the text message "MMST68" to 1999. Telenor will register you in their MMS database within a couple of days.

This instruction is for GPRS data account only (not HSCSD).

1. First you will have to create a data account:
- Connect
- Data comm.
- Data accounts
- Add account
- Account type: GPRS data
- Name: GPRS MMS
- APN: mms
- User id: 90... (your phone number)
- Password: 90... (your phone number)
- Save

2. Create a MMS WAP profile:
- WAP services
- Options
- WAP profiles
- Add profile
- Name: MMS GPRS WAP
- Connect using: Use the profile you created in step 1.
- IP address: 212.17.131.44
- Save
- Choose the profile you just created (MMS GPRS WAP)
- Edit
- Change homepage
- Name: MMS WAP GPRS
- Address: http://212.17.131.44:8080/index.wml

3. Setup MMS client
- Messages
- MMS
- Options
- WAP profile
- Select
- Choose the profile you created in step 2 (MMS WAP GPRS)
- Click "No" once which takes you back to Messages -> MMS -> Options
- Message server
- Address: http://10.250.16.184:10021/mmsc

That's it. When Telenor launch the MMS service the setup procedure will hopefully
be easier.
You will probably receive the setup as a SMS. Numerous release dates for the lauch have been reported by Telenor support. It's for free until one of these dates: May 31, May 22 and June 5th. Contact Telenor for exact date (good luck).

It's free until May 22nd but the setup procedure was not so simple as I thought it would be. You will have to set it up yourself, get help from a Telenor retailer or use the settings above

Havardot: Digi.no had an article regarding MMS today, where Telenor said that they wouldn't start charging for MMS until their systems were stable. Whenever that might be.

I called Telenor Datasupport yesterday. They confirmed that sending MMS still is for free. But remeber that you still have to pay for the data transfered (GPRS).
