found a web site 'www.theorder.co.uk' they are selling the p900 on a vodafone £35.50 a month tariff for £155, has anybody used this web site as i am a bit nervous about buying a p900 over the web but dont want to pay high street prices!

if any of you can recomend reputable e-tailers for a p900 with contract (vodafone prefered) i would be very grateful,

p.s is the p900 vodafone live! branded atall?

Well...

I bought mine from the high street, Carphonewarehouse to be exact... and it was cheaper than most internet retailers, but eventually price matched to another... the fact that it was one of the few places where it was in stock was also quite useful (around a month before Christmas, when stocks were all but non-existent)...

If you do find a phone cheaper, on the same tariff on the internet, then Carphonewarehouse will, as far as I am aware, since they did for me, price match up to £50 (no more than that though for net purchases, conversely, if another local store stocks the same phone/tariff, then the price is not limited in this way)...

Thus, you get the phone quicker, as in there and then, without the worry of potentially dodgy dealers (this is not a reflection on the site you mentioned in any way, or to any other specific retailer as I have no experience of them personally)

You're right, high street stores do not like matching web prices, citing increased overheads as the reason... though when searching for a new digicam i encountered one not to be named electrical retailer who refused to admit that the actual shop was associated with their website, and would not match such prices, even though the web price was not quoted as web only... just refused point blank and tried to walk away...

As far as I know, CPW are one of the few who will match the internet...(I heard Jessops, the photography place, do as well)...

Something i didn't mention is that you may need some kind of proof of the deal... or at least i did for my P900... so i took a print out of the web offer, which was fine (some people don't have to do this, depends on the store and sales rep you see... my mother got a cutey likkle sagem (impressive for the price too) without such proof from a different branch of CPW)...

Further, (although once again not always the case), the item you are after is meant to be in stock at the web site you are using... though to be honest, the rep who served me didn't bother to check (hehe, OnestopPhoneShop were clearly out of stock at that time, which a few Esato members can vouch for!:-)

Also, if the particular store doesn't have the phone there, they can arrange to have it delivered to you, for free, the following day, if their warehouse has stock of it (once again, my mother's sagem was received in this way)...

Overall, CPW were quite decent, not very helpful if you want advice on a P900, but they did have it way before the link or any other high street store even knew what it was...
