Has anyone tried wma format for the phone? It's not one of formats it supports in the user's manual, but I thought I would ask since wma is smaller than MP3.

Officially WMA's will not work on the P900, it only being able to play MP3's and a handful of less well known, and indeed used, formats...

I haven't tried it myself, but that may be because I know that MP3's and WMA's are totally different... with most computer based players requiring different codecs to enable such playback...

The best you can hope for at present, is support for OGG Vorbis... through the installation of OggPlay(er?) on your phone to play them... these are comparable, although obviously not identical, to WMA's in that they are around half the size of the average MP3...

I was curious as to see whether it could handle AAC. I beamed over an AAC track I ripped in iTunes, with a .m4a file extension, it worked fine. Altho it was only accessible as a 'video'. Pretty cool

Is that not because the video player use ACC as it's audio format...

@sfaguy
Why don't you use mp3 PRO? It's already supported (even in my P800) so you don't need to install anything, plus you get file size and quality similar to .OGG. Try it guys, it's the simplest and best solution.
